Palm Beach Haitian American Festival in Delray, July 9

The Palm Beach Haitian American Music Festival is scheduled to take place in Delray Beach, Florida on July 9th (Saturday) at the Old Town School Square. If you didn’t get your Haitian music groove on in May in Miami at the Compas Haitian Music Festival, this is your chance!

Artists and bands scheduled to perform that day include ‪Djakout, Carimi, Nixon Mesidor, Klass, T-Vice, NuLook, Arly Lariviere, Gabel, Pikan Band, Xtassy, Young TDanje, H.B.Z, Mecca, Wendyyy, Jacklon Marcellus, Keed Coulgi, Misty Jean, and more.

This is the festival’s third year. May it be the third year of many to come.

Eunide Edouarin—the Haiti-based rapper more popularly known as Princess Eud —doesn’t like to do interviews. “When I’m being interviewed,” the raptress contends, “I have so many things going on my head at the same time that I sometimes answer questions they never asked me, and I’m kinda shy.” Yet shyness is a quality that very few would identity with Edouarin. Mia Lopez is the CEO and President of M.I.A. Media, Inc, a public relations firm based in Miami that caters to the Haitian entertainment industry. Lopez is a low-key person, but among her peers and industry insiders, her work doesn’t go unnoticed. Of her, Patrick Desvarieux, the founder of Kompa Magazine, said: “She is a natural. A people’s person. One of the best at what she does.
